These work! bought a couple and within a week we had caught over 20 mice. Trick is to have the ramp along the edges where the mice scurry along. Only they dont seem to fit NZ size buckets, tried a few, no worries we taped it onto a bucket. Good Buy...

It would be beneficial for you to mention the size of the bucket needed. It took as a few days to find the 9 litre bucket. At the moment the mice are not being cooperative and are not walking up the ramp they are still being killed by the traps.

I just got this and have not had a chance to check it. I can hardly wait. This is a very well-thought-out design. It addresses all the shortfalls of similar designs. I am sure it will work great. I will probably get more of these. For now, it will only be used inside to prevent larger animals from tearing it up. Something occasionally tears up my bait boxes in my orchard.

i love this device. we have chickens and cats and the mice over run the chicken pen...the cats are not able to get inside the chicken pen. we did not want to put poison out. so we tried these traps. the first evening we caught 12 the second evening we caught 12 again. we did not put water in the bucket. just pnut butter on the inside where the instructions say and bird seed in the bucket.

I ve had a problem with mice in my garage for awhile now and didn t want to go with a trap that killed them. I bought this mousetrap, attached it to my bucket and put some feed inside of it. After a single day, I caught half a dozen mice! Just make sure that you have some bait on the underside of the yellow bucket lid. That way, the mice will walk towards the plank and fall into the bucket. I used peanut butter and it worked marvelously.

This trap is great. I recommend putting in your five gallon bucket with a large glass planter jar. Then fill the bucket with lots of seeds. DO NO ADD WATER YET! Wait a day to check and if you have mice then fill the bucket up with water this will drown them. Feed the wet meals to other wild life. The glass planter jar will keep them from eating the plastic bucket. Smear peanut butter on the inside lid roof and stick with seeds.
